Put in at CC at 9:45 and fished until 2:00. The water is up about 6' and looks like coffee with lots of cream. Didn't catch much in the stained stuff, so I moved up the lake to more clear water and flipped into the shoreline bushes. Caught about a dozen shorts using a 1/4 oz Chompers Brush Jig with a plastic tail and garlic spray for added effect. Also snagged a 3 lb. catfish in the butt which didn't make him too happy and he put up a fight to prove it. Not a spectacular day, but it was beautiful on on the water. And, this Yankee learned a new tactic (flipping).

I love high waters, because it means newly flooded shoreline brush for me to flip into. Glad you caught some fish.

Got to the lake about 2:30 p.m. and fished till 7:00. Put in at the dam and stayed pretty close. Water was really clear. We started out working the flooded bushes but no luck. Backed off and started to work the areas from about 7 feet to 15 feet deep. My son and I ended up catching 22 but all were shorts. Had a couple that were close but not quite. Green pumpkin chartreuse lizard and a green pumpkin purple fleck finesse worm were the main baits that caught fish. Secondary points and channel banks seemed to be the best spots.
