Okay the water should be coming down but it seems to go up and down all the time and not just down. Where is all this water coming from?

Take a look for yourself:

Very frustrating, if you ask me. Hell I want some low water to do some fishing. :angry1:

Looks like we won't be getting our wish. The water isn't going to be down during the weekend.

I just saw... :angry1:

I was hoping for a weekend of chasing stripers with my kayak.

Cole,

If the current level is above 632 the Corps will, generally, open the flow until the lake comes down to 632. You can watch the Inflow CFS column and the Release CFS column to get a little bit of an idea as to how long they will have to generate/flow until the lake level comes down.

You can also look at this link to get an idea of how much is going to be flowing into Lake Tenkiller after a good rain in the Upper Illinois watershed.http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?07196500

3 to 4 feet is the norm. If it is 5ft or higher, you can just about bet that they will start letting water out on the other end.

It's been almost constant for 2 weeks! Hopefully it'll end soon enough.

Yes, I know that is why I posted this thread. The flow was down and up / down and up all the time. I was just curious as to why.

Well, luckily they scheduled it to turn off a bit tomorrow!Looks as though we may get a weekend to fish with no high water.

Although, a few days after work I have been going fishing and its doing good. Fishing close to the bank has proven quite successful. Generally been fishing on the bottom.

Good luck!
