Brian Wise Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Hey guys, Just came across a sign up for alerts from the USGS on water levels for any given (or as many) streams as you want to sign up for. http://water.usgs.gov/wateralert/ It is super easy signing up and you can have the alerts sent by text or email. What I really liked about it is you can set your alerts to, well, alert you when the stream you are signing up for goes over a certain level. Like I signed up to get an alert when the North Fork of the White goes over 1000 cfs. Thought I would pass it along. Brian My Youtube Channel
Zack Hoyt Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 MEant to post this and totally forgot. I have it setup for all the rivers around here. Set the tollerance at anything above 1.2ft so I get a level update every day. Thanks for posting. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions
Members Liv2flyfish Posted June 2, 2010 Members Posted June 2, 2010 Great info, This will help to decide where the floatable water is or isn't. Thanks. I am an avid fly fisher. I love fishing the Ozarks and the White River watershed from the spring creeks to the tailwaters.
