For security reasons, I can't say which day, but I did get away to hit the Niangua the other afternoon. According the the tote board at the Bennett store, they had stocked heavily on the 26th so the fishing was pretty good. I fished at the 64 access for a few hours between the canoe launch and the gravel ramp, then headed down to Barclay until almost dark. All together, I landed about 15 and probably missed just as many. I was fishing a ginger, olive, and brown woolly buggers on a sinking tip and letting them swing in the current.

I'm amazed how much Barclay has changed. I fish the upper part just below the turn in the river and it looks like the floods have drastically changed the river. The long gravel bar is about half gone and the water looks deeper than before. It still seems to hold fish though, I just had to work a little harder to get down to them.
