Members HYDE Posted June 3, 2010 Members Posted June 3, 2010 first i just want to say that i'm a true beginner when it comes to cat fishing. a friend i are were thinkin about fishing the greenfield area saturday evening (out of a boat) and just wanted to know if anybody had and help they could lend me? i've bass fished all my life and just wanting to learn a differnt style. biggest thing i have trouble with is bait and finding productive spots. are there premade baits that are better than others or is nautral bait better??? please help!!! thanks matt
Stockton Lake Guide Service Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 best bet is to net your own shad then float them over a flat. the catfish are spawning right now so they will be on rocky points and the rip rap for the next week or so. then they will go to the flats along the channel and can be caught non stop till the water cools. hope this helps some.
