Members MST SigEp Posted June 4, 2010 Members Posted June 4, 2010 I just ordered and recieved my Orvis top 20 flies for 10 dollars shipped the other day and all I can say is wow. Such a great deal for 10 dollars for someone new to fly fishing or for someone adding common flies. They seem well tied and solid. Now I just have to get out there and use em. Note: I like nymphing more than I like drys. This set has mostly drys so it didn't fit my style perfect but it still was a heck of a deal. drew03cmc Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Woolly buggers will catch fish under any condition. Stock up on them and some basic nymphs, and you will do fine. Andy

Not sure if it's still in print; your local library may have a copy. Lots of information on fly selections, accesses, gear, and all sorts of other stuff. A pretty good book for a beginner, written so most anyone can understand it. <{{{><
