J-Doc Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Does anyone know who to contact about the Wednesday night tournaments at Prairie Creek? do you have to register, or just show up? I'd call Hook Line & Sinker in Rogers. I think they would have the contact information and details. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Stump bumper Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Just show up and pay there is another thread on here with more details. They start showing up pretty early with boats linnning up around 5:30 then launching at 7:00 pm. I have not fished one this year but have been there a few times when they have launched. Thought I was going to fish last night, but those thunderstorms scared me off. I just don't fish dark and rainy nights well at all, if there is still light at 9pm I can do pretty good.
Stump bumper Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I plan on fishing this one tonight, anyone else going to make it?? If you are an EMT please send me your cell phone #.
Trout Commander Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 LOL Have you looked for a "person sized" Kethum Release Tool?? I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
Stump bumper Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Well finally made it out for one and bombed bad, had one spot that held 1st for a while since I made it to the scales early. Not many people weighed spots so I was on edge for a while. There were some 4lb plus and biggest bag I saw was 9 something. Tough night, fish didn't come to the top in the places I saw them Monday even though there were shad cutting Vs everywhere. I had a spot that would have gone 5 but I lost it at the net, that was my first bite and the last good one I had. Did anyone else get the final weights or get the cash? The entry is $8 for 3 fish for the boat the $12 for the big fish that encludes 3 big fish places and big spot. So for one person in a boat it is $20 and for 2 people in a boat it is $32. Time is from 7pm to 10:30, it is a shotgun blast off with two waves.
Stump bumper Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Stump, For two people it is $40. The way it was explained to me and was on the rule page was $12 for big bass too include big spot. Then $8 optional for 3 fish limit. One boat could take more than one prize on big Bass but only one 3 fish limit per boat, so since the 3 fish limit is optional why would each person in the boat pay the $8 you can not wiegh more than 3 fish anyway. Then again you could fish two people for $12 each for big bass only and pay $24. But the way the rules were stated I could not see why a two person team would pay $20 unless they were totally on thier own but if one person in the boat gets a check it disquilfies the other so why pay the $8 for both? If I am wrong, do you have a copy of the rules? I read them, asked questions, but did not bring a copy home. Then again since I was alone, I don't know if they are doing something different then they are writing down and the "optional" by the $8 had to be for both people in the boat but why would they have a rule about only one 3 fish limit per boat then? I am confused now can anyone close to the tournament director help out here?
