Went out on the lake early, in my kayak

had some good top water action on my 7wt, big poppers were good today.

It got hot so I went back to R.R. to fish awhile, the dry fly fishing is really good right now

the fish are stacked in some of the holes, I only fished about 2 hrs and landed 13 trout, all but

two on a dry fly, most on a beetle, a few on a crackleback and a few on an ant. I hooked a few on

on a pheasant tail, but didn't land any on the nymph. I'm not sure why anyone would fish a nymph

with the dry fly fishing as good as it is. Didn't catch any big ones but most were in the 12" range

a few were a bit bigger and a few were a bit smaller, but all were fun on my 1wt today.
