Members Doc Tom
I started yesterday afternoon and fished until dark. I tried some night fishing but with a new moon it was DARK. I then got up and fished 3 more hours today. All wade fishing about 1.5 miles above Rockhouse. The water is clear and low; perfect for wading. Tons of bluegill and 20-30 Brownies. Tim from Tim's Fly Shop gave me 2 flies. First was a popper. The Brownies and bluegills liked it. The second I'm not sure what to call. It has a lip and eyes. The Brownies LOVED it. IT would seem appropriate to call it Tim's Brownie Slayer (or Tim's BS, for short ) A big thanks to Tim
Outside Bend
From what I can see it sorta looks like a fly version of the Rebel craw, pretty cool looking bug. <{{{><
flytyer57
So how does a fly with a "lip" cast? I would imagine it would twist the leader pretty bad. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
timsfly
Haven't had a problem with line twist. I have been throwing them on my 7wt and mostly 8lb line and heaiver, no twist to speak of.
