Predator1 Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 My son wants me to take him to Forsyth and put in near the Power-site Dam. Is this a good time of the year to fish hear and what kind of fish are in this area this time of year? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Bill B. Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Go up to "General Angling Discussion" and check out the story about the new Missouri state record striper caught there last week.
Wayne SW/MO Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 The fishing can be good. The water near the dam is generally cool and well oxygenated, attracting all species of fish. As far as species goes, I think they all are up there at one time or another. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
BrianS Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 As long as there is current then yes you can catch multi species of fish there. Go up to the bait store on top of the hill there in Forsyth and invest in some 3" sliders that are pearl with a chartreuse tail. Use 1/16 to 1/8 oz lead heads depending on how much current is there. HOOK 'EM HORNS
Predator1 Posted July 15, 2010 Author Posted July 15, 2010 Thanks again and much appreciated. This will be my second time on Bull Shoals. 1ST TIME was off the hook when KDOCK was flooded at the end of May. We caught lots of bass and my first walleye. I will be sure to let you all know how we did.
