Nighthawk Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 my fishing buddy says the "summer spawn" is over and the big females are no longer up by the outlets. on a recent trip, we did not catch one 20+" fish, where we had been into 3 or 4 a night. any one share this opinion?
tippet7 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 I caught one on Sunday morning that went 20+ and very very fat. I was down by KOA You are so stupid you threw a rock at the ground and missed.
kwall Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 A friend of mine caught 2 over 20 by Lilley's when the water was on
fly2fish Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 The rainbow spawn run was over about the end of March and I have caught more rainbows over 20 inches since then than before and during the run. In the middle of June (3) in one night. The amount of water running has more to do with it than anything else IMHO. Looking forward to my next trip July 30-Aug 2 hope they continue the pattern of generating during the day and off at night. F2F
Jeremy Hunt Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Lots of 20 inch rainbows now. Probably more than I’ve ever seen. I just wrote a report about fishing downstream on my site. I see a lot more bigger fish downstream then I do upstream. However they are up there to. It seems like every time we go out we are hooking at least one over twenty inches and I know they’re are bigger ones because I’ve seen them cruising. There’s a few 25-26 inch bows swimming around. I’m excited about this river and think it is in AWESOME shape. Here’s one my buddy caught when we were fishing behind Pointe Royale on Saturday. Accept the drift.....<>>><flysandguides.comVisit my blog
