My current net is killing my back, so I'm in the market for a good quality, light-weight, fly fishing net. Any suggestions?

As far as bang for your buck...the Frabill trout nets are nice. I have the "Catch and Release" wooden net with the clear rubber netting. Its a great net...only thing is that I wish the handle was longer.

If you want to spend some $$$ on a sweeeeetttttt net, go look at Brodin or Fishnat (sp?) nets. Brodin has some awesome nets...

How heavy is that net? lol

If I wanted a "pretty" net I would go with either Brodin or Fishknat like Chance said.

OK... shameless plug here... but Hendrix Outdoors just came out with a very sweet C&R net... Burlwood handle, magnetic release system included, 18" hoop and a rubberized net with a flat bottom.

I never wanted to cary a net for the same reason. I just got a cheap wood c&r net from cabelas and a magnetic release. I've had it a couple years now and can't complain. There are a lot of the handmade pretty nets out there, but I'm not crazy about spending $50 on a net that I'll probably break throwing in a truck bed or loose.

And the wood nets are a lot lighter than they look. I stayed away a long time thinking they would be heavy.

I saw that net here.

Give them a call.

I am also very interested in seeing the net that Terry posted photos of. Unfortunately a Fb link doesn't do much for me. I need a link to the net in an actual shop.
