Members CDC Posted July 17, 2010 Members Posted July 17, 2010 My cousin and I headed up to Sugar Creek for some canoeing this morning. We floated from Craig O Lee down to Hog Heaven. Thanks To Russ and Cal for the shuttle service and saving us the effort of driving two vehicles. You guys are the best. All in all it was a great day. The fish were biting good (got about 60 in the boat between the two of us), the water felt great, and traffic was light on this section of creek. Couldn't ask for anything more then that. Most of the fish were caught on green double tail skirt head grubs but my cousin hoooked the big one on a orange and gray trick worm. Most of the fish were in the 8-10 inch range but we did manage to land 5 or 6 in the 2+ pound range. Only took a few pics today.
Chief Grey Bear Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Way to go guy's. I don't see near enough reports from you two. Is that the same trick worm you gave me on our Spring Float? Members CDC Posted July 18, 2010 Author Members Posted July 18, 2010 Yeah. we haven't been doing as much fishing as we would like...too much going on. Not to mention that the last few trips were really nothing to brag about. And it is the same trick worm.
fishinSWMO Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Good looking smallies. Boy was it hot today! You were doing the right thing, floating the creek and catching fish Jeremy Dodson
