Members Megabucks461 Posted July 24, 2010 Members Posted July 24, 2010 I have found a place that has provided good numbers and several 16 to 20 inch small mouth. Why am I not catching any large mouth in the same area? I wouldn't expect to catch spots in this area but don't understand why there aren't a few LM there. THE PRICE OF FREEDOM IS CARVED IN STONE
Members Megabucks461 Posted July 26, 2010 Author Members Posted July 26, 2010 Found the anwser to my questions this morning. The spots were about 15 feet deeper than I was fishing and the LM were suspended in the tree's in 35 feet or deeper. Sometimes it just pays to work a little deeper. Bite is tough around the dam. Not hard to get bit but hard to get the hook set. Tried to down size the jig but didn't have a good feel for the bottom. Seemed the spots wanted the larger chunck rock from 40 out. Well hope to get out one more time tonight before heading back to the metromess. Tight lines. THE PRICE OF FREEDOM IS CARVED IN STONE
