troutfiend1985 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 I just got back from Yellowstone a couple of weeks ago. It was an absolute pleasure to fish. Beautiful water and great hatches. I fished the Gallatin, Madison in the evenings, the Gibbon and Soda Butte Creek. Soda Butte was by far the prettiest in my opinion. Biggest fish was a 21' Mountain Whitefish. Yellowstone has a lot of regulations, but I wouldn't mind seeing Missouri pick up two of them. The ban on lead is something that MDC should consider and it puzzles me why the it hasn't been established for all of the creeks. The other would be to require basrbless hooks on the Blue Ribbon Trout streams and C&R Areas. Didn't get attacked by bears but a man in the Tetons was killed by a Grizzly that was sedated while I was there. I did see a grizzly, a bull moose, bull elk and Bison. An awesome area that I hope to return to in the next couple of years. “The greatest menace to freedom is an inert people” J. Brandeis
