Members two fish Posted August 2, 2010 Members Posted August 2, 2010 Just a brief report to say the water sure felt good wading below the Mammoth Spring State Park. Caught five trout all around 12" in a very short amount of time on #2 Mepps spinner. A great place to spend a hot summer day and catch a meal to.
Terry Beeson Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Still my favorite place to spend the day on the water... except I like Bayou if the canoe hatch is light, which it's not right now I'm sure... Got to get down there and fish again soon... Members two fish Posted August 5, 2010 Author Members Posted August 5, 2010 You are correct,,,,,I witnessed a significant canoe hatch that day while driving along the bayou. It was odd to not see anyone wading around the highway bridge area on the park side and only one person bank fishing from the campsite area below hwy bridge while I was there. We both were catching fish and staying cool.
