flytyer57 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Does anyone out here in Ozark Angler Forum land have any information about fishing Lick Creek in extreme south central Missouri????? There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
Members Newbie Fly Posted November 17, 2010 Members Posted November 17, 2010 saw this post and we both have the same quote!!!! Anyway I fish the Lick Conservation Area if that is what you mean (about 10 miles north of Columbia) Good little lake for bass mostly slot sized bass . Can run into 3 -3 1/2 lbs though. Definetely can get a boat load in the spring /early summer. Usually can have to yourself or may be just a few others. I take my little inflatable with a trolling motor. Sort of rough to shore fish (overgrown) Crankbaits early worms in the blues/ pumpkins during mid day is what works for me " I fish therefore I am"
Justin Spencer Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I assume you are talking Lick Creek in the Gainesville area. Haven't talked to anyone who specifically fishes it, very rain dependent creek and probably not floatable unless we've had good rains for awhile. I'm sure it has some fish in it as long as it has some holes. I'll ask around and see if anyone fishes it. Maybe Brian Wise has some local knowledge.
