fox_76 Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 This may sound like an odd question, but i'm trying to learn and understand more about the fish i'm catching, or should i say trying to catch , lol. why is it that i have never caught a small carp? or even heard of some one catching small ones? i have caught small everything else in the water,.. crappie, bass, cats, bluegill, etc but have never even seen a small carp?!! Best i can remember the smallest i've seen is probably 12 to 15 inches, and given that's pretty small for our bugle lips, i know that they have to grow to get to that size, right? do the little ones not feed on the same things as the larger ones or what is the deal? like i said just wonering i'm not going out there to catch the small ones but i have heard that carp make great cat bait, of course heard the same thing about dog poo! I didn't go to college,... I was too busy learning stuff. --Ted Nugent
