Upper Illinois River Access Points

Are there any access points to the Illinois River, that would make a good day float/fishing trip on the Arkansas side? I see from google maps, that it crosses several highway bridges(Hwy 412 and Hwy 16), but I don't see any good access points, or know what would be best for fishing. Thanks for any information.

I am primarily looking for areas in AR, but would also like to know if there are some good spots in OK, if they are no access points in AR, or the ones in OK are just much better.

Also are there a lot of small mouth in the river, or more largemouth?

i go up and fish the illinois river 1 or 2 times a year there is a put in east of siloam springs right before it crosses 412 u drive down that a road to the right there is a boat ramp there i put in there and fish up and down stream do very well foe smallies and spots that is the only one i know of would like to know if there is any more 2 hope this helps

Yes I see that on Google maps. It looks like it is called Chambers Spring Rd. That is easy to find. Thank for your help. Does anyone know of another launch site to float to or from the Chambers Spring Rd access point?

I was wade fishing this spring at the County 848 bridge (I think that's the same as Chambers Spring Road but not sure) and talked to some kayakers who had put in upstream where AR16 crosses the river just east of Lake Wedington. They were headed all the way down to the 412 takeout. Said it had been a great float so far. I've been meaning to try it but haven't gotten around to it yet. Fishing was slow that day--I got mainly small lmb and green sunfish. One little smallie.
