Hopper Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I've posted a few times about my drift boat, and had a few responses about getting together with some other wood drifters, I,ll be at the conclave in Mt. Home on the 1st thru 3rd Oct. Any thoughts about getting together during that weekend? Gregg The gods do not deduct from man's allotted span the hours spent in fishing.
Terry Beeson Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Gregg, For sure, bring your boat out to the fairgrounds. I know Zach Hoyt will want to get with you and I'm sure there will be others. I'd love to build one myself and Duckydoty is talking about taking on that challenge this winter as well. It'll be good to get some ideas from the different boats. I'm thinking a "drift boat rendav... ronday.... uh... rendev... uh.... get-together" is in order... Zack Hoyt Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Scott Branyan and a few other wooden boaters got together yesterday and today over at Bull Shoals. I will definately have my boat at Conclave and would be up for a group trip. Terry, I think the Conclave needs an ares we cane setup the wooden boats. Bet it would draw a crowd. Terry Beeson Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 We might do that if you get a number of boats for me... Maybe we'll put them up by where Dennis Slane is doing the dutch oven cooking class... I'll pull my boat up to the fairgrounds Fri. morning. I'll be at the conclave with the Tulsa Fly Fishers, we usually do alot of fishing, but I'm sure we can work out a trip during the weekend.
