GREENTRITON Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 I Put in at Aunts Creek yesterday, rounded the corner past pt 10. Thought I saw a large school of white bass busting shad on top, as I got closer I found out it was huge school of long nose gar just ripping in to the shad, right in the middle of the lake. I have seen Long nose gar before just never seen them attack a school of shad like that. I never did hook one, but did have a few chase my grub..

glennL Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Yep. They take over an area and scare away the bass. Also, an older gentleman on the white, had a 7 footer on one day. Ripped open his arm when he tried to get his lure out of the gar's mouth. Glenn
