yaknar Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 The river is down and I'm off work, so I took the kayak out today. I put in up from Hootentown around 6:30am. I tried my normal crankbaits, grasshopper, bumblebee, and crawfish, but nothing. I had good luck with a pearl crappie crank and bomber. But when I put on a couple of Joe's Flies the fish would not leave them alone. For anyone who have never fished with these flies I left a couple up in the trees you can have...I took picture of some and released them all.
awhuber Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Nice. Wish I could have got out here today.
Members yakfisher Posted September 23, 2010 Members Posted September 23, 2010 Nice fish! Looks like a productive day.
Terry Beeson Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Are those Jerry's Flies? I sell Jerry's Flies - trout spinners, smallmouth spinners, etc. That one pic looks like a magnum 4... Nice pheesh!!! yaknar Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 I bought these from Bass Pro. Just the right lure on the right day.
