Hello all,

My wife and i went to Fellows lake on Friday and fished from 10-6. We started out crappie fishing with minnows in brush on the south arm. Upon not catching crappie we changed our bait to Berkley Gulp nightcrawlers and began catching bluegill. I then caught a 15 in. walleye on a minnow. We caught several bluegill before moving on. We trolled the bank of the large cove on the south side of the lake near the buoy line and caught a 2 lb channel cat on a Bass Pro lazer blade. The rest of the day was spent fishing for bluegill on brushpiles located throughout the lake.

To summarize, the bluegill were biting on brush that had wind blowing across it, but the bite was slow for the most part and size was near 7 in. I got lucky catching a walleye on a fake nightcrawler while crappie fishing. The marina owners said the bass were biting good shallow so maybe we should have focused our efforts on bass. The day was beautiful and i can't wait to try it again.
