fished a tournament this last weekend, most of the people, only had 17 boats, fun tournament you know, any way this one boat brought in 16.50 lbs of bass, of which tow were over 5 lbs. they said caught in same place, on water mellon seed lizards. thays not to far fetched, but both fish had cuts all over them, tails were beat up like, the fish had come off the nest. anyone out there ever caught fish this time of year like that, just seams something is wrong

I caught 2 on Sunday that were real beat up with red marks all over them plus they were kind of skinny for their size...4lb heads with 3lb bodies. They looked like upper river summer fish or post spawn fish but I caught both around point 7.

Most of the beat up, sickly looking fish I have caught have been in the fall....This is also when LMB virus will hit...not saying that is what it is...just saying it is very common in the fall to see beat up, skinny fish. I caught one at TRock last year dropping shotting a dock that was literally a 4.5 lb. head and 2.5 lb. body...I catch fall spots at LOZ that you literally dont want to touch thewy are so nasty....Not saying what you are thinking is not true....just saying beat up fish in late summer/fall is not uncommon...

I have caught these fish on Truman, Grand, Lake of the Ozarks and T Rock this time of the yr. Most of what I have noticed is these fish come from trees, brush or something like that, something they can use as cover most of the summer and they just get beat up chaseing prey. My two cents worth.

thank for the info i was hopeing that maybe some one else has seen this before this time of year. makes me feel a lot better
