Trav Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 That is why I saw so many boats out there.....hmmm....what was the winning weight? Anyone know?....I could have taken in 12 pounds easily if I was in it..... "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
Members JRay Posted October 2, 2010 Members Posted October 2, 2010 I heard that first was 6 @ 23.90. Big bass was over 6 pounds.
cwc87 Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Meek's had a fishing tournament yesterday out of Lightfoot. Turn out was 40+ boats. Was the tournament out of a place called Lightfoot or lighthouse? And the lake is down so the corps. can work on ramps. What are the bass biting on since the lake is being drawn down?
Trav Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I heard that first was 6 @ 23.90. Big bass was over 6 pounds. That would have beat me for the day. What an impressive weigh in. Pomme is truly turning out some great fishing this fall. "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
Trav Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 And the lake is down so the corps. can work on ramps. What are the bass biting on since the lake is being drawn down? It is the dam which is being worked on....the ramps are just a side project since it is down. The only work I have noticed being done on the ramps is some clearing on sediment removal....have you observed anything else? As far as the bass bite....The bait fish are confused. They have no cover to hide in and the bass are taking advantage of it. Think anything which matches shad and minnows. Right now it is a no brainer. Fish any cover you can find with clear water and you will catch fish. "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
