Kayser Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 For my birthday yesterday, I decided it had been too long since I had been trout fishing. With the cooler weather and limited time, I decided it was time to his the LP again with a friend. Parked at Lane Spring around 4:30 and proceeded to fish downstream. Picked up fish while nymphing, mainly on large headheads and some fish on mohairs. Big fish was around 15", but saw bigger. Afterwards, local bar in Rolla to celebrate being 21. Chalk up another fantastic birthday. Rob WARNING!! Comments to be interpreted at own risk. Time spent fishing is never wasted.
flyfishmaster Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Happy B-Day Rob!! Hopefully you were able to make it to your classes on Friday, with your home work done. later, FFM Woo Hoo Fish On!!
Kayser Posted October 1, 2010 Author Posted October 1, 2010 Yep, made it to classes just fine. Wednesday night was rough- hit the bar at midnight, and friends felt the need to buy me shots. But the HW was done, class was attended, and I learned to avoid shots with hot sauce in them. Along with things that are named anything similar to "Demon Spawn." Rob WARNING!! Buzz Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 I remember the St. Pats day parades and all of the fun in Rolla. That was a long time ago and I wasn't even in college back then. Rolla is a great little town that I have always considered my own. I even went back there in 2001 for the 20 year class reunion. I didn't even graduate from there. It was great that I was remembered by so many people and made to feel like a part of the class. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
