troutgnat Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I wanted to say thanks for several on here who offered some tips on getting me started in custom painting my own baits. These are my first attempts at the phantom colors. I am having so much fun at this! I'm wasting too much time at the painting bench instead of the boat fishing........Dang it! Guaranteed I will have my baits ready for this spring though. But these phantoms will be thrown very shortly on the Rock. Let's say Thursday........LOL Darren Sadler "Fishing is an Education...Often the fish 'school' me, yet I do not complain. I just keep going to class!"
Trav Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I like to use different colored scrippie pens and doctor my baits. I have also been know to drill holes in cranks and fill them with water for a slower wobble. Or put on bigger hooks to make the wobble bigger. Lots of stuff you can do.
