Members Troutdude Posted October 14, 2010 Members Posted October 14, 2010 Am thinking about a late fall float and was wondering what type of access is available off of FR3153-CR AA - 127 or FR - 4144. Don't really care if I have to scramble up a mean slope with my gear and yak. Thanks!!!
snap Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Not familiar with those roads....FR 3152 will get you to turner north and you can access Mcdowell off 161 through Wilderness off hwy J. Otherwise, IMO, you would be best off putting in at the regular accesses. Since this river runs pretty much through the forest, there are not a lot of choices of places to put in.
Brian Sloss Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 The first one you listed is Turner Mill south and is a good access, I don't know about the other one, have to look up that road number on a map. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
Members Troutdude Posted October 17, 2010 Author Members Posted October 17, 2010 Thank you both. As it turns out, plans have changed a bit as per usual and we are now floating Greer to Riverton. Brian, I'm sure I will be by Thursday afternoon or Friday Morning to pick up whatever I forgot.
