yaknar Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Went to the river Saturday hoping to catch some of the fall colors,a little too early, not many reds or orange yet. Fishing was slow but I did manage to bump into a couple of fish along the way. Overall a nice float down the river.
Danoinark Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Sure enjoyed the pics..nice scenes. Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Members Hef Posted October 29, 2010 Members Posted October 29, 2010 I am new to the area just moved from Olathe KS and can't wait to get back into the stream and river fishing. This is my first post and i am just wondering where you put in and took out for this float? Was it public access? The scenery is awesome, great pics! Thanks
yaknar Posted October 31, 2010 Author Posted October 31, 2010 I put in on the Finley at Jamesville and floated to Hootentown Access. Of course you can always float Shelvin Rock Access to Hootentown Access. And I got hooked on Joe's Flies this year and that's what I caught the fish on in the pic.

How far is it from Shelvin Rock to Hootentown Access? Thanks for the info.
