Is there a good supply of gizzard or threadfin shad in these lakes?

Samkam,

There is a healthy population of gizzard shad in Fellows Lake. The only time I see them near the surface is in the spring and again in the fall, when they would be the easiest to net. If you have a good locator on your boat you may find them schooled up in the main lake area.

You may also find some bellow Lake Springfield dam. The come up there during high water. With the low water now and high water temps, there may not be very many in that area.
