Greg Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Fished a few hours late afternoon today (12/23) and after dark just a bit. Water was off when I got there at 2:30 PM. Started just below the dam and waded down past rebar to the big hole. Didn't catch a thing for almost an hour. But ended up with about 10 to hand when I left at 6:30. Most all were rainbows in the 13 to 15" range. One big beautiful bow that was pushing 20". Only one dink. Beautiful day but pretty cold. But I guess that's not all bad as there were very few anglers out. Maybe 7 or 8 total that I could see. Merry Christmas to everyone. Merry Christas to all! The water is supposed to be off Sat and Sun so hopefully you'll have low water. Smallish scuds #16 and #18 in gray or olive always work well. And so do zebra midges 16 to #20. Any flies working better recently? Merry Christas to all! Dont forget to use some big streamer patterns, even during the daytime. With the fishing pressure being as low as it has been, the fish seemed to be more incline to hit those big flies when they usually may not. Olive woollies and olive pine squirrels have been making a big hit for me when the water is off/lower. Hookinear

Caught 7 or 8 on scud, pheasant tail and pine squirrel steamer... something on everything.... But not much of a pattern... Good to get out after being holed up all weekend.
