Members jasperflyfisher Posted December 28, 2010 Members Posted December 28, 2010 Stopped by Tims to spend some Christmas money and I bought a new 6' 3 weight rod. I like the way it makes the dinks feel like they have some size. I've been wanting one for a long time and finally brought myself to get one. Sunday we caught a lot of fish on glo-balls, san juan worms, beetles, griffiths gnats and cracklebacks. Catching fish was not hard, but finding anything with any size to it was pretty tough. We saw a few, but they were spooked easily. The water is real low and clear. The biggest of the day was about 2 lbs. Monday I went by myself and the fish didn't want to cooperate as well. Caught one that might have went 3, but the small ones were harder to come by for me.

Glad the rod worked out for you, blue wing olives were the ticket for me today, I think I landed around 30 today, most on bwo's. Dry fly fishing was great today for me. Members fishinbikin Posted December 28, 2010 Members Posted December 28, 2010 I went yesterday (Monday) as well and had good luck early on midges and then did pretty well in afternoon with adams and elk hair caddis. All small ones though but lots of fun! Highlight of the day was when I thought I would just try a little bit by campground 3 and spotted a bald eagle landing in a tree. Awesome sight.
