Hey all,

I didn't provide Gray Bear fish porn on my last trip to Blue Springs. It's not a wild trout, but, I got a decent shot of this stocker at Forest Park.

Santa came up with a lighter rod, so I had to try it out. It's a 6' UL using 4# fluorocarbon line. Tried a few different spinners and spoons but wound up getting results with floating trout worms under split shots. It's a nice looking fish, but not half as fun to catch as the wild trout out of BSC that was half the size. Hopefully, I'll be getting down again soon.

Thanks to everyone for the inspiration to stay on the water in the winter. Best therapy I can think of.

Regards,

Sorry I screwed up the last post. The place is Jefferson Lake. I had a moment of Presidential confusion.

I went out again today and scored five in a couple of hours. Three were on floating worms (pink was the color of the day), and two on yellow/red Panther Martin #1 spinners.

I saw some commotion up the bank during my visit. A fellow angler landed an old grizzled monster of a Rainbow. He measured 23.5" and 13.5" around. Weight was six pounds. He landed the fish on a Blue Fox Flash spinner. The real killer of this story is that he said this was his first trout. Hell of nice way to break in!

My fault for not getting your name, sir. But, here's you and your fish for all to see.
