West Fork Jason Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 My uncle and I got to the river before the sun crested the tops of the river gorge. It was a little chilly, but once the sun came out all was well and we were losing layers quickly. Very nice day out, we floated from the dam to houseman. The water dropped out on us to zero flow around the 62 bridge. A fellow in an inflatable was trolling with sinking line and was getting into the waldos on the lower end of the float. I chatted with an old timer fly fishing near the dam and he said that he caught a little parr marked juvenile bow....pretty healthy fish in this system. I should have brought my .270 or .308 or .44 mag down with me; always wanted to get some veni from the drift boat! It couldn't be done this year back home, to cold and iced over during deer season.
