Members Coolpick Posted January 18, 2011 Members Posted January 18, 2011 Hello everyone. Some friends and I are going to do some kayaking/fishing this May on the Buffalo. I heard that there was a problem with a sewage pump station somewhere near Mills Creek. Anyways I really haven't heard anything about it since other then they were "fixing it" I was if anyone has heard anything about it.
tjulianc Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I think this started in Marble Falls/ Dog Patch USA area because of the big ice storm two years ago. I think right now they are using a pump to divert the waste water from going down the creek. Maybe someone could confirm that? ADEQ did come to an agreement with Marble Falls solid waste, and the first phase of construction should be completed this May. I don't know if there is any news more up to date than this article: http://www.arktimes.com/ArkansasBlog/archives/2010/09/17/settlement-in-marble-falls-sewer-case
bobber Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 the problem is still a problem ... they are still doing water monitoring and dye testing along mill creek still . just bring your own water for camping and don't use the river water.or your morning coffee might have a twang!!!............. the problem is above dog patch at HUB community <*)))))))>< * AMERICAN CANOE ASSOCIATION CERTIFIED CANOE, and SWIFT WATER RESCUE INSTRUCTOR.*
