The upper reaches of the river will open on February 1st and is one of the best days to catch a trophy brown or rainbow of the year. Last year with the cold and snow it kept the pressure down to the die-hards with me and only about eight other boats brave enough to tackle it. The weather looks like it will be tough again this year with snow and high temps only in the twenties predicted. But I will be out there.I remember that Phil was out there too!!
