Hybrids starting to do their thing

Fished around KK island again on the evening of the 7th....numerous whites surfacing and got into a large school of hybrids. Saw lots of fish that had to be in the 20lb range busting shad on the surface. Boated 4 fish in 15 minutes...stringer weighed in at 43.14lbs. Caught one just under 10lbs on a spinning rig with 6lb test line with a white and blue jig...what a fight! The next couple of weeks are going to be exciting at Truman.

We could have caught as many white bass and blue cats as we wanted but we were using large live shad going for the big hybrids. Fishing is heating up if you want to head to Truman. Lots of people catching fish around KK and the dam area.
