While checking out FAOL I found a thread concerning adhesives and a new product carried in Wal-mart (and other stores as well) called Aleene's Fabric Fusion. I thought I would try some as it dries and stays clear (according to the label) So I bought a 4 ounce bottle ($5.19) and applied to the head of a Thunder creek streamer. Initial thoughts are that it comes out fairly thick but spreads evenly and easily. There is some self evening but it is not runny (I clamped the fly in my vice and after spreading just rotated it a couple of times). I will report back and let you know how quickly it cures. It requires no mixing. So far, I am quite happy with the results and it is dry cleanable so hopefully it will be fairly durable as well. We'll see.

Let us know how it reacts with water after it drys. My wife had a lot of that stuff left over after she died and if it works pretty good, I'll have a use for it.

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
