Stump bumper Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 I am putting the boat in the water since I can't remeber when tommorow morning and just wondering if anyone has caught anything on Beaver lately.
rps Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Out twice on TR since the serial snows started. Nada. Will try to break that string tomorrow.
J-Doc Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Please post some water temps for us guys who can't make it out on the lake. All of this warm temp should have at least gotten it close to the 40's if not low 40s by now. It would be great if the water temp was up to upper 40s by March for FLW. Need marine repair? jeb Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 I've seen the water temps from 38-42 the last few days in the mid-lake area. Finding fish on the 'birds, but can't get them to bite. Been skunked on two trips in a row now since the snow melted. Kind of frustrating! But most I've heard are doing the same on Beaver right now. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
Members Kcnflman Posted February 20, 2011 Members Posted February 20, 2011 Fished around point 9 today, my results were similar to others (skunked!).... The shad were thick in spots and actually hooked 2 at once on my grub!! I am not sure if the water temp is just entirely too cold yet, or that there are too many dying shad for the bass to forage on, probably a combination of both.
