Members fish Posted February 26, 2011 Members Posted February 26, 2011 This is more like a "cabin fever" report rather than a fishing buddy report! We spent two days at Lilleys this past week. While we missed the warmer weather, we still had a great time, as always. We didn't take the boat down with us so fished from the dock while we were there. You could catch as much as you wanted from the dock, using just about anything ... as long as that anything was white power eggs! I caught most of my fish in the morning, while JD was playing around with different colors and worms. He caught his fish in the afternoon using jigs, the usual olive, orange/olive, orange/brown colors. I didn't have as much luck in the afternoon with either the power eggs or jigs. We kept our limit and ate fresh fish for supper that night. Fresh beats the heck out of frozen fish! Many thanks to Phil and the crew at Lilleys for another great trip! - Mrs fish Stupidity Should Hurt
Gatorjet Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Thanks for the report. Glad to hear you enjoyed your time there. Fishing from Lilley's dock is always great. As long as there isn't too much current from the generation at TR. Fresh from the lake to the cleaning table, and then the frying pan is always fantastic!!! Just white? We have had good catches for quite some time now on white combined with an egg of another color, either pink or chartreuse most of the time. Real men go propless!

I tried different colors and floated up crawlers...nada. They wanted white an white only while we were there. Next day may be some other color. Next time down we'll have the boat.
