Members CollegeFish86 Posted March 11, 2011 Members Posted March 11, 2011 How do you guys approach the tail waters with a boat? What types of baits do you guys use for whites/hybrids and walleye?
Members jnorman Posted March 11, 2011 Author Members Posted March 11, 2011 You can't fish the actual tailwaters with a boat. You have to go down a ways to the Upper Osage which I don't have any experience fishing. But as far as what to use for whites and hybrids, I have had the most success on 1/4 or 3/8 oz lead heads with soft plastics such as slab slayers, sassy shad, etc (usually chartuse or ghost). When it warms up pencil top water lures also work great and definitely are the most fun to catch them on. The best time to fish is when it's raining . . . and when it's not!
