Well my name's Travis...obviously haha and Ive admired this site for a while before I joined. I'm a life long resident of the Springfield area. I'm also a lifelong fisherman. The first fishing I ever did was for little bullhead cat in my Uncle's farm pond when I was 3 or 4. Some of my fondest memories were going to Springfield lake as a little boy and taking a box of Tee Vee Bait shrimp to Henshaw access and catching Channel Cat so often I could barely sit down without having to reel in. After so far being a bank fisherman I am now blessed with a 12' jon boat, a 3.5 hp outboard and a 30 lbs. thrust trolling motor so things are getting better, and I'm surely hoping my catch rate will improve at least a bit with this new fangled contraption...especially with the mobility factor. I'm very humble and welcome helpful advice. My fishing has been hit and miss all my life, over the last few years I've read more material, improved my tackle and my methods of fishing, and I'm hoping the boat helps too. Once again I welcome any advice for this "okay" fisherman, and I'll do my best to help with what I have. My main quarry is Catfish of any kind but especially Channels...but I like catching about anything thats a fun catch. And my main haunts are Lake Springield, Fellows, Stockton (Little Sac River and Turnback Creek areas) Occasional the Lower James and sometimes McDaniel Thanks for taking a second to read this.-Travis
