Members Liv2flyfish Posted March 25, 2011 Members Posted March 25, 2011 Does anyone know why the phone will not answer when you call to find out what the current generation at Table Rock and Beaver is? It has been like this for a couple of weeks now. I know there guides and other business's that rely on this information. We all know you cannot depend 100% on the internet schedule. I don't want to waste a tank of gas and get down there and find out they are running water. Please fix the "Dam" phone. I am an avid fly fisher. I love fishing the Ozarks and the White River watershed from the spring creeks to the tailwaters.
fly2fish Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Give the guy a break he has been anwsering the phone 24/7 for the last 3 years he deserves a break I know last weekend you just had to be ready to fish whatever condition was there. Friday night 1 one all night, Saturday the schedule showed same but when I got there it was off. Need to have a fly rod set up to drift fish, one to throw streamer and spinning rod for jigs or fly and split shot the fish are still there just have to get to them. F2F

I have spent many weeks trying to train the otters & coons to feel the vibration of dial tone. They have been taught to distract the operator at the dams just before the phone rings. Its amazing that is is working. I thought it was a futile experiment but hey I may have something here. This is the 1st confirmation that it appears to be working. I figured if they hacked off enough trout guys then upsetting the whiitewater rafting and kayaking group would be a cinch. Why would I do such a thing. Well I m not sure. I was bitten by a Smallie when while trying to remove a tube and my life has not been the same since. Soon after that bite I started to dream about Canoes (no KAYAKS) and Spinning Rods ( no FLYRODS). I am still trying to make since of it all and therapy is a few warm days away. By the way just to be clear it was not me who taught the mice to chew through the line going to the answering machine.
