Members FullTiltAngler Posted March 30, 2011 Members Posted March 30, 2011 Was just curious if anyone has been out to Fellows lake and if so how the fish are with this crazy weather pattern we are in. Any info appreciated.
emjay Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I was out there yesterday for the hell of it. Fishing at the bridge. Saw some guys on the floating dock, looks like they pulled in a few crappies from what i could see. other than that, i didnt catch anything...water was cold and a little higher from all the rain.
Members FullTiltAngler Posted March 31, 2011 Author Members Posted March 31, 2011 Thanks for the info.I was wondering if I was the only one who spent time on this lake.Have been fishing it for some time nd have always done fairly well.I'm surprised there are not more posts on this lake.
Jack Jones Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I've been there a few times and did some bank fishing. It wasn't very productive for me. They say there are muskie in that water. Who knows? When I get my kayak out this Spring, I'll probably head up there for a few trips this spring/summer to see what I come up with. My understanding from the online maps is there are some nice brush piles and decent fishing, but that a boat is practically required. I agree with you though Fulltilt, I'd like to see more posts about Fellows. I'd especially like tips, tricks, and just general ideas about the best places/times to fish it. Members FullTiltAngler Posted March 31, 2011 Author Members Posted March 31, 2011 I personally have caught several small muskie out of there over time. There was a guy at the end of last season who pulled out a 42" muskie while bass fishing. They seem to hit better around late fall into early winter. It is known as one of the better muskie fisheries in the state.ther have been several good sized fish pulled out of the lake over the past few years.
Members FullTiltAngler Posted March 31, 2011 Author Members Posted March 31, 2011 Oh yeah, there alot of good bass and crappie in there to,lol!
Members Fishinokie1 Posted April 2, 2011 Members Posted April 2, 2011 Fellows has a good population of Whites as well. When the water warms up here in the next couple of weeks they will start getting active. I have had a lot of luck in the very early morning hours when they are chasing the shad right along the bank by the bridge. There are also some very nice walley in Fellows too. The water is not quite warm enough yet. Once spring is in full swing, you will start seeing more posts on here for Fellows. If you teach your kids to fish, your wife will let you go more often.....

If you are fishing from the bank, there are a couple of nice brush piles that you can hit from the dock, and another that is down the trail off of the point. That one is about 20' out from the bank.
