Skeeter ZX190 Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Put in at Long Shoal and went up the Big Tebo. Fished 2 coves on the south side and 2 on the north. Water was 57 to 58 degrees for the most part. Did find some around 60 but it was way back in the back ends. We caught around 25 bass. 5 were keepers and one went around 5 pounds. Caught them on a square bill, spinner bait, and a black & blue jig & craw. Most of the fish were half way back in the coves. Really shallow too. Seeemed like it had to be a bank that some rock on it and when you were a cast away from the bank that the boat would be in 10 to 12 feet of water. Here is a picture of one of the biggest.

Members Fishin Fanatic Posted April 22, 2011 Members Posted April 22, 2011 What bait did those two bigguns bite?...It seems like I normally catch bigger fish on jigs, but I've got some buddies who swear by both squarebills and spinnerbaits

The other was on a white and chartreuse spinner bait.
