I went to church on sunday morning and got to Beaver around 2pm.

By 6pm, I had one crappie.

From 6:30 to 8pm we caught 40 crappie, there were some shorts but mostly slabs.

1/16oz weedless jighead on a bobby garland shad body (blue/white)

I was chunking it around the dock cables and walkways.

Swimming it along and occasionally let it fall to the bottom in 2-5ft.

There was a period of time (just before total dark) when I caught 10 crappie on consecutive casts.

26 keeper crappie, 5 bass, 2 whites, and 5 bluegill.

Great day of fishing

I could see the lightning from the impending storm as we loaded the boat after dark.

Nice report! I'm not a crappie guy but always want to get into it one day. I wouldn't have thought about the presentation you did near the dock cables. Nice job fishing the conditions!
