BrianS Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 It never ceases to amaze me what one will find when fishing. Im on vacation this week and have been fishing all week. Monday when the wind was blowing hard had 11 keeper bass fishing spinnerbaits in the back of the pockets. Today was a blubird no wind day and the bite was slower at least for me however had 5 good keepers today. To top it all off I found this smallmouth floating near Buck Creek that bit off more than it could chew. Check out the large shad in its mouth! This was about a 3 lb smallie! Perhaps a 12" swim bait is what we need to throw haha HOOK 'EM HORNS
BrianS Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 Here are 2 good keepers my partner had today. Had 5 go around 14 lbs which is good considering the calm slick day we had HOOK 'EM HORNS

Thanks for the pics and report. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
BrianS Posted April 16, 2011 Author Posted April 16, 2011 Fished yesterday in gale force winds. Had 5 keepers again on lizards and spinnerbaits. Very difficult to fish when there are 3-4 ft rollers HOOK 'EM HORNS
Guest Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I was chunking a 5" Yum Money Minnow at Tenkiller last year, when I caught an 18" smallie, 20" LM, and a 6lb flathead catfish from the same boulder. Its amazing what some of these fish will eat.
