Water temp was 56-58 in the ruark area and the lake was 2 foot high today and rising slowly.

Crappie were fair on jigs on secondary points with 1/8 oz jigs and 2"grubs. The minnow bite seemed to work a little better today, but lots of smaller fish. The recent cold front and rains have moved the fish back off the banks, but they are still biting a little. Just make sure you work both the shallows and the nearest drop off. With the warm weather coming up, the fish should move right back up to the shallows and prepare for the spawn.

Bass are hitting pretty good on jigs and spinnerbaits on secondary points and along the larger rock banks up the river arms. This is going to be a great year to catch osme big fish, so if you like to bass fish, get on the lake and start finding them bass. We are planning on having the thursday evening tournaments (but going to go every other thursday) The more boats, the more fun, so everyone is invited..I will post some more info later this week.

White bass are still hitting up the river arms and around the ruark area on crappie jigs, blakemore roadrunners, and 1/16 oz pony heads with a grub.

Walleye are biting good on jigs in 10 foot of water on points and secondary points. If you like to catch walleye, go crappie fishing, hit the secondary points, and you should go home with a mess of crappie and a couple walleye for dessert.

Good luck to everyone and feel free to call before you come up to get any updates. I am trying to keep the facebook page and my website reports up to date so take a look at them also.
