Hi All,

I'm wanting to upgrade my waders now and have been reading reviews on the Hodgeman Wadelite I and for the money they had a pretty good review, but it's just a review. Would anyone be using these or have had any experiences with them? I can't get anything from the "order takers" I've called.

Thanks again,

Chuck

Chuck I've never owned hodgman waders. But I've had several pair of bass pro breathable waders which I've been told are made by hodgman. The 2 pair of bass pro breathables I had were comfortable, fit well, and were a pleasure to wear. They were perfect except for one thing: Both pair only lasted me a little over a year. And then the leaks started. I do fish quite a bit - roughly 50 to 60 days/year. So they may be perfectly suitable for someone that fishes less often.

They are reasonably priced. But for me the Simms with the lifetime warranty are a better buy.

That sounds about right Greg. I have a pair of the WhiteWaters that where fine for about a season and a half and now they are worthless.

Thanks

Chuck, I have a pair of the Wadelights, not Wadelight 1, and I love mine. I have them for a year now, and have had 0 problems. Just follow the manufacturer's care instructions and you should be pleased.

Thanks! I think I'll bite the bullet and buy some Simms or Orvis for around 200.00. Lifetime warranty and then I'll be done! I called one place that sells Hodgeman and I guess the question I asked was over the "order takers" head and he hung up on me. So, for sixty bucks more I'll get a better pair!

Chuck I think that's a wise decision.

Good choice on the Simms waders. Wife and I both had beathable Hodgeman and in our view, they were junk! We replaced the with Simms for a few dollars more and are now into our 3rd year with them with not one problem, fishing close to 100 times a year.

You might give Dan Bailey's waders a look see. I have been using a pair for two season's now and they are holding up well. I also have a pair of there bootfooted hip boot's and like them well to. I should say that the waders are bootfoot's also. I got to wear I hate the stocking foot waders. Getting old and hate all the lacing up and when it get's cold my hands freeze putting the boot's on and taking them off. I used the stocking footer's for many years and went back to the bootfoot's two years ago and will never go back the other way again. Ron
