Gills In The Weeds!

Very good opportunities at most all the lakes at Busch if you enjoy fly fishing for bluegill and small bass. The water level on all lakes have remained high and the normal out of water grass and weeds have been flooded for some time now. Bluegill and bass are hanging in these areas. Last 3-4 weeks have been very good fishing with a fly rod. Even light spinning with small marabou jigs have been very good. Soon the ticks and mosquitoes will be a problem so now is a good time to go.

Any particular lake better than the other?

I was out there yesterday afternoon (lake 16 - C&R lake) fly fishing and noticed that a lot of male 'gills were shallow and getting quite aggressive. I think they are preparing to spawn at all the lakes.
